The study of the history of national costume, which is an important component of material culture, reflects the factors that influenced the development of traditional costume. Detailed studies of the national costume, one of the original masterpieces of material culture, and restoration of its original samples will provide ground for more complete information about the period of the costume existence under study. As a historical and cultural object, a traditional costume reflects culture, way of life of every nation, revealing some elements of traditions, social relations, educational, religious and aesthetic forms of the nation. In this article the author considers the historical evolution of women's dresses.
