This article explores less studied problems, such as the preservation of archaeological sites using museumification methods. The activity of scientists in the field of museification of archaeological objects, the history of the problem is briefly described. The cases of the need for museumification of the monument as an immovable object, reduction of its value when moving, disconnection from the environment, and reduction of information about the monument were also studied in detail.
