This article discusses the prospects of tourism development in Kashkadarya region, which is one of the southern regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author analyzes the problem on the basis of the available scientific and historical literature, based on the data of archeology, archival documents and written sources and studies the specifics of the prospects for the development of tourism in the Kashkadarya region. The researcher also mentioned the government's focus on tourism.
