The article highlights the new economic infrastructure of Jizzakh over the years of independence and the features of the city's economy. Thanks to independence, the city of Jizzakh has the opportunity to transfer the economy, production relations from the command-administrative mechanism of centralized planning to a free, market economy, the theoretical foundations for the formation of market relations in the country. The essence of the radical economic reforms carried out in Jizzakh with the aim of forming a socially oriented market economy has been studied.
