National cuisine is an integral part of material culture, on the basis of which it is possible to study the traditions of different peoples on the basis of observations. Cooking was largely related to the social environment, geographical conditions and economic forms in which the population lives. In particular, representatives of the forty seeds of Uzbek cuisine of the Jizzakh oasis mainly consist of cereals, vegetables, dairy and meat dishes. This article provides information about the traditional cuisine of the forties of the Jizzakh oasis and their role in the social life of the population.
