This article reviews current issues of formation and development of the extradition to the international criminal law system. With the new international legal position of the author proves the emergence of a new stage in the development of the fifth stages of the Extradition and offers a new author's periodization of the history of extradition. In addition, in the article the major milestones in the development of the extradition were discussed in details.
