The article talks about the role of world and Uzbek literature in translation studies and its practical significance. In particular, the scientific aspect highlights the fact that translation realizes communication between peoples. The fact that works of different nationalities are translated several times and passed on to the people is the basis for its popularization and the emergence of imagination among peoples. The role of literary translation in translation studies is invaluable. A work of art is a means by which each nation shows its national ideology and customs, spiritual, educational, social life. Therefore, literary translation requires that words and thoughts expressing the national spirit be reflected in the translation. Language is a means that unites and separates the peoples of the world from each other. All peoples living on earth, as well as their representatives, communicate with each other mainly through translation. With the growth of political, economic, cultural and social relations between nations and peoples, translation and translation activities are intensified. This is precisely the purpose of the article, where these issues are widely covered.
