Annotatsiya

The discovery of disagreement between the main indices of solar activity − the international sunspot number (or Wolf sunspot number) and the group sunspot number − led to the need to determine the causes and factors affecting their change. In current work, we present results of study on the influence of the telescope’s aperture and the presence of scattered light on the ratio between the main indices (Wolf sunspot number to the group sunspot number), since the main discrepancies in the indices relate to early observations when the quality of the instruments and their resolution were much lower than modern ones. It was found that the dependence of the ratio on the telescope aperture is not linear and could be divided into 2 parts to explain its behavior. Long periodic changes in the ratio of basic indices were also investigated during 6 cycles of solar activity from 1932 to 2000 years based on the unique archive of the solar data of Astronomical Institute of Academy of Sciences of the Republic Uzbekistan. It was obtained that the ratio is not constant and changes during the cycle, as well as from cycle to cycle.
