this article presents the essence, definition of mudarabah, and the evidence of permissibility of it available in the Qur’an, hadith, ijma ‘, and qiyas. The conditions of the mudarabah are divided into 3 groups – conditions about the parties, conditions about the capital, and conditions about profits. The information is explained based on chapters devoted to mudarabah in the works of famous Hanafi jurists who lived and worked in Movarounnahr.
