The article discusses the pedagogy and educational role of military traditions and rituals, theoretical and methodological foundations of their educational orientation, the essence and main functions of military traditions and rituals in the formation of moral and combat qualities, their influence on the personality of a serviceman. Military rituals are also considered in three main areas of military relations - the field of combat activities, the field of training and combat activities and the field of daily activities
