Jamiyatdagi global o‘zgarishlar ta’lim tizimining o‘zgarishiga turtki bo‘ladi. Umumta’lim maktablarida erkin va mas’uliyatli fuqarolarni shakllantirish, o‘quvchining umumta’lim maktablarida erkin va mas’uliyatli fuqarolarni shakllantirish, o‘quvchining ilk maktabga qadam qo‘ygan kunidan boshlab tanqidiy fikrlash ko‘nikmalarini rivojlantirishga yordam berish muhimdir. Chunki o‘quvchilar o‘zlari yashaydigan makonda kontekstlarga yuqori tezlikda tarqalayotgan axborotlarga duch keladi. Ushbu axborotlarning keraklisini qabul qilish uchun o‘quvchi tahlil qilish, tushunish, bahslashish va muammolarga muqobil yechimlarni taklif qilish, to‘g‘ri qaror qabul qilish ko‘nikmalari shakllangan bo‘lishi muhim. Ushbu ko‘nikmalar o‘quvchida tanqidiy fikrlash qobiliyatlarini rivojlantirish orqali amalga oshiriladi.
