The article talks about the national-cultural features of military phraseological jargon. The phraseological image of military personnel is expressed through slang. Correct understanding of the meaning of expressions is very important, especially in literary translation. The article is written not only for teachers of the German language, but also for the general public, who are directly interested in cultural history and semantic aspects, to allow comparison of these aspects with the corresponding analogues of their native language.
