World War II, a global conflict of unprecedented scale, involved many countries and ethnic groups. One aspect of this devastating event that is often overlooked is the involvement of Uzbek fighters who played a major role in the war effort. This article examines the contribution of Uzbek soldiers in the Second World War and highlights their experiences.
