Annotatsiya

It is analyzed scientific information about the «cotton affair» which is considered the political and social company that held in the Uzbek SSR in the 80s of the twentieth century in this article. It is studied the state of agriculture, food, and industry in the Surkhandarya region, the strengthening of cotton monopolies, and its socio-economic consequences in the period of the «reconstruction” process in the whole territory of the Soviet Union by the help of scientific work and kinds of literature that were illuminated these situations.
