The article discusses the formation, structure and electoral processes of local authorities as a result of the formation of the Uzbek SSR in 1925. Also, based on the sources, the existing problems and resistances in the formation of local authorities, as well as the measures taken by the Soviet authorities to eliminate them, were analyzed. Elections to local soviets and the right to vote are covered in detail. Information is provided on the role of local authorities in the implementation of the second stage of the land and water reform in the Uzbek SSR and, conversely, on the impact of this reform on these bodies
