Problems of treatment of complications of purulent-necrotizing soft tissue fasciitis in diabetes mellitus. The problem of purulent infection in patients with diabetes is gaining increasing clinical and social significance. Diabetes mellitus and surgical infection form a vicious circle in which the infection negatively affects metabolic processes, exacerbating insulin deficiency and increasing acidosis, and metabolic and microcirculatory disorders worsen the course of the wound healing process. The statistics on the incidence of diabetes mellitus is growing every year. If the situation continues to develop at the same pace, then by 2025 the number of patients with diabetes mellitus will double. By 2030, diabetes will become the 7th leading cause of death worldwide.
