The article examines the concept of videoconferencing, its application features, legislation and law enforcement practice, advantages of its use in inquiry and preliminary investigation, possibilities of application in the use of detention as a preventive measure, the importance of videoconferencing in obtaining objective testimony, ensuring the safety of women and minor victims, the possibility of remote investigative measures related to participants in court proceedings abroad, and carrying out international assignments in a short time is shown, analyzes scientific views on the topic and foreign experience, and proposes a number of recommendations and suggestions.
