This article examines the concept of adoption secrecy, its legal protection, and the liability measuresprescribed for its disclosure. The author emphasizes the necessity of ensuring legal, psychological,and moral protection of children through the institution of adoption. Furthermore, the article analyzesthe criminal liability stipulated by Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistanfor individuals who disclose adoption secrets. The study also includes a comparative legal analysisbased on the experiences of foreign countries. The author highlights existing gaps and shortcomingsin the national legislation and advocates for strengthening the legal framework governing adoptionsecrecy.
