This article analyzes the significance and powers of prosecutorial oversight at the stage of initiating criminal proceedings, as well as its role in ensuring legality and protecting individual rights. The procedural guarantees of prosecutorial oversight aimed at safeguarding human rights and freedoms during the initial stages of criminal proceedings are examined. The article emphasizes the need for automation in the registration and verification processes of crime reports and addresses current issues in prosecutorial oversight. Furthermore, pathways to strengthen legal safeguards are proposed, including the implementation of electronic submissions, crime registration in a unified registry, and electronic monitoring based on international practices. Recommendations are provided for expanding prosecutorial powers and securing individual rights at the stage of initiating criminal proceedings.
