This article substantiates the need for a theoretical analysis of the concept of the rule of law. At the same time, a detailed analysis was carried out on the scientific and theoretical approaches of scientists to the concept of the rule of law. At the same time, approaches to the emergence and development of the concept of the rule of law are analyzed. The article theoretically reviews the features of each approach related to the concept of the rule of law. At the same time, when conducting a study of approaches to the concept of the rule of law, the works of national scientists were used.
