This article talks about the genesis of the development of legislation on medical professional liability insurance. From the moment when this issue was regulated in foreign countries and to what extent the issue of insurance of professional liability of a doctor in the Republic of Uzbekistan is regulated in history, Islamic law and currently through legislation. Also, based on the draft Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On insurance of medical activities and compulsory liability of medical workers,” the importance of legal regulation of doctor’s professional liability insurance will be considered.
