This article discusses the concept and types of assets, recommendations of international organizations regarding the return of assets obtained by criminal means, persons and responsible bodies executing court decisions on the return of assets, regulatory legal documents defining their powers and obligations, legal documents fixing the procedure for the execution of decisions foreign courts and arbitrations, coercive measures applied in the course of enforcement of judgments on the return of assets, other measures provided for by law that ensure the execution of a writ of execution, the legal basis for the sale of seized property through an auction, as well as issues of current legislation in this area.
