In this article, the legal foundations of the activities of the internal affairs bodies for the protection of public order and ensuring public safety during mass events are analyzed and studied, divided into three groups. The problems and shortcomings in the activities of the internal affairs bodies in this area are highlighted by statistical data. As the main reason for the existing problems of law enforcement practice, legal gaps in legislation are given, as well as suggestions and recommendations for their elimination are given.
