The article analyzes mechanisms and methods for the protection of human rights and freedoms in the course of operational search measures and is compared with the legal norms governing the procedure for conducting an OSM and methods and mechanisms for the protection of rights in the Russian Federation and the formulation of viewpoint on ensuring effective protection of human rights and freedoms.
