Colonial ideology has long encouraged powerful countries to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and use their national resources. Iran also suffered from this ideology in its time. Although Iran was not a colony of any powerful country, Great Britain, the Russian Empire (later the Soviet Union) and the United States took advantage of the country's military and economic weakness to interfere in its internal affairs and attempted to absorb its material wealth. Political leaders, who viewed the dominance of Great Britain and the United States in Iran's oil industry as a threat to national independence, realized the importance of achieving economic independence for the country. Mohammad Mosaddiq, heading the Iranian government, chose a political course aimed at reducing the economic dominance of Great Britain and the United States in the country. The article shows that the activities of a national political leader, putting pressure on his political steps and ultimately removing him from power illegally are proven methods in the history of international politics. It is also shown that the actions of powerful countries that introduced political technology from outside to overthrow the legitimate government in Iran were in the nature of a “color revolution”.
