This article analyzes the problem of religious extremism and radicalism, which today is one of the main problems of ensuring security and stability at the national and global level, as well as the legal basis for combating it. A content analysis of national and international legal norms in the fight against religious extremism and radicalism was also carried out. At the same time, the content of the norms applied in crimes of religious extremism and radicalism is revealed, theoretical approaches are generalized and specific conclusions are formed.
