Viticulture is one of the branches of agriculture that has long developed in Central Asia. Terms and words related to this field have been formed in our national language and have a centuries-old history. Viticulture terminology has played an important role not only in scientific and practical activities, but also in folk oral culture, traditions and rituals. This article analyzes the stages of formation of viticulture terms in the Uzbek language, historical sources, and their connection with folk terminology. The history of the origin of terms related to this field, which were adopted from other languages, and their importance in enriching the vocabulary are also covered in detail. Most of the terms related to viticulture were adopted from other languages, and as a result of the development of science, international relations and translations, they have taken a firm place in the Uzbek language. In the process of research, research can be fruitful by identifying the semantic roots of the terms of the field.
