ABSTRACTThe article discusses the transformation of phrasemes into phrasemes with more than one meaning and their contextual semantization. In the contextual semantization of phraseologisms in an educational dictionary, the similarity rows of the phraseme (phraseological paradigmatics, units in associative relations) - portable meanings, synonyms, antonyms - play an important role. More precisely, the number of sememes of a phraseme is determined on the basis of its paradigmatic, semantic and syntagmatic relations. The semantic scope of a phraseme plays an important role in the compilation of explanatory educational dictionaries.Phraseme as a linguistic unit, as is characteristic of phraseology of all languages, has its own paradigmatic series. Although phraseological polysemy has been studied in detail in Uzbek linguistics, the fact that the issues of their presentation in dictionaries, lexicographical interpretation, and clarification of the relationship of phraseological paradigmatics have not been resolved can also be explained by the fact that ideographic, associative dictionaries based on the phraseosemantic field have not been created. Keywords: phraseme, phraseological polysemy, contextual semantization, phraseological paradigmatics, ideographic dictionary, associative dictionary, phraseological formalism.
