ABSTRACT This article highlights one of the key aspects of tourist discourse - the diversity of genres, including both verbal (oral) and non-verbal (written or printed) forms. It analyzes how tourist discourse relies on a specific set of genres adapted to the needs of providers of tourist services, those providing these services, and consumers in various situations to optimize communication. The study of the linguistic aspects of tourist discourse occupies a central place in understanding the dynamics and impact of tourism on a global level. In the era of globalization, when tourism becomes more accessible and widespread, the linguistic side of tourist speech acquires special significance. The analysis of collected material and scientific literature dedicated to tourist discourse allowed us to identify the following genres: oral type of direct communication; oral type with mediation; written type of printed texts; written type with computer mediation. Some genres have already been partially analyzed in the scientific literature, such as advertising articles, brochures and flyers, excursions, websites of tourist agencies, and traveler reviews. Therefore, we aimed to describe in detail those that are distinguished by pragmatic linguistic complexity, stand out in tourist discourse, and have not been fully explored before. Keywords: tourist discourse, excursion, tourist guide, institutional speech, polyphony, potential tourist, communicative tactics, tour operator, video guide, audio guide.
