The article present the results of research aimed at developing a water-caving rice cultivation technology under conditions of pronounced water scarcity and extreme coil-climatic conditions of the Respublic of Karakalpakstan. The efficiency of sowing rice at natural soil moisture followed by flooding 30-35 days after emergence and subsequent periodic irridation until the end of the growing season was evaluated. It was established that the proposed tecnology reduces irrigation water consumption by 25-30% compared to the conventional continuous flooding system while maintainig stable yield performance. The findings substantiate the feasibility of implementing resource-efficient irrigation practices in arid regions.
