Infectious diseases remain one of the most significant global health challenges today. One of the main factors contributing to their spread is poor adherence to hygiene practices. This article analyzes the importance of personal and public hygiene in preventing diseases. Following hygiene rules plays a crucial role in reducing transmission pathways and thereby lowers the risk of infection. Personal cleanliness and daily hygiene habits, particularly regular handwashing and maintaining a clean environment, significantly decrease the risk of infection. In addition, proper sanitary conditions in public places help prevent the widespread transmission of diseases. The analysis shows that access to clean water, adherence to hygiene practices, and a healthy environment contribute to reducing disease incidence. Increased awareness of hygiene among the population leads to a decline in infectious diseases. These factors collectively contribute to the development of a healthy society. Personal and public hygiene are among the simplest and most effective ways to prevent infectious diseases and are an essential part of the healthcare system
