This article discusses topical issues of international legal regulation of the status of transport and communication links between the countries of Central Asia and Europe. In particular, the article pays special attention to the emergence of problems, specific steps taken by countries to regulate the subject matter. Particular attention was drawn to the status of TRACECA, the main transport project of the parties. On the basis of the analysis carried out, a number of theoretical conclusions were singled out and separate applied proposals were put forward.
