The article discusses the importance of growing saxaul seedlings using water-saving technologies to prevent pasture degradation. A significant part of the pasture lands in Uzbekistan is subject to degradation due to natural and anthropogenic factors. In order to restore degraded pastures and improve ecological stability, the establishment of cultural saxaul plantations and “green shields” is proposed. During the study, a nursery for saxaul seedlings was organized in the Navoi region using new agrotechnological approaches, and experimental studies were conducted on the use of bentonite suspension for foliar feeding of plants. The results showed that the application of this technology contributes to better plant growth and development, increasing their resilience and viability. It was found that the height of seedlings in the experimental plots was on average 20 cm higher than in the control plots. The obtained results confirm the effectiveness of modern agrotechnologies for restoring pasture ecosystems and preventing land degradation.
