Development of selective sensors based on polyaniline and metal oxides: W, Sn, Ti for the determination of ammonia at room temperature. Flexible films of polyaniline-metal oxide hybrid nanocomposites were synthesized chemically in the form of emeraldine salt using the redox process of aniline in the presence of ammonium persulfate (APS) as an oxidizing agent and HCl. The gas detection results show that the hybrid flexible gas-sensitive materials are PANI+WO3+TiO2 and PANI+WO3+SnO2 showed the highest expressivity and sensitivity in relation to gaseous NH3 at room temperature.
