In this article the subject of the research is the study of the theoretical foundations of the manifestation of human coordination abilities, their structural features of manifestation are characterized. Research on the coordination readiness of 17-18 year old university students and the results of their assessment, produced using generally accepted methods and author's criteria, were conducted. On their basis, the current state of the coordination abilities of 17-18 year old university students and the assessment of the level of their manifestation were determined, using diagnostic tests and criteria. The obtained results allow us to evaluate a person’s coordination abilities using the proposed tests and require adjustments to the physical education process.
