This article explores genre-oriented linguocultural annotation of evaluative vocabulary as an applied and theoretical approach to language teaching and analysis. Evaluative lexical items are viewed as complex units that encode not only semantic meaning but also pragmatic intention, authorial stance, and culturally conditioned norms of assessment. In language learning contexts, such items are frequently acquired at a surface level, while their genre-dependent usage, register sensitivity, and communicative effects remain insufficiently developed. The paper proposes a unified annotation model designed to capture the multidimensional nature of evaluative vocabulary. The model includes evaluation type, pragmatic function, genre-register profile, typical collocations, and underlying cultural scripts that shape interpretation. Special attention is given to the role of genre as a regulatory factor that determines the appropriateness and intensity of evaluation across academic, institutional, and everyday discourse. The study also demonstrates how annotated entries can be transformed into instructional tasks aimed at identifying evaluative meaning, controlling expressiveness, and selecting linguistically and culturally appropriate forms. It is argued that genre-oriented linguocultural annotation supports critical language awareness, improves pragmatic accuracy, and fosters the development of communicative competence by enabling learners to use evaluative vocabulary in a controlled, context-sensitive, and culturally informed manner.
