Purpose of the study: to study the ultrasound anatomy of the thyroid gland and indicators of physical development in the first period of childhood. Material and methods: the study was conducted among boys aged 3-5 years. Number of children: 3 years n=20 , 4 years n=28 and 5 years n=36 . During our research, we used ultrasound, anthropometric and statistical research methods. The results of the study showed that with the age of the child, organometric measurements and the size of the thyroid gland, as well as indicators of physical development, differ by age. Conclusions: ultrasound examination of the thyroid gland and morphometric measurements of different parts of the body showed that there is a strong correct correlation between the size of the gland and anthropometric indicators, the coefficient of which is equal to r = 0.9.
