The article presents data on postmastectomy lymphedema, the reasons for its development and the main directions and stages of development of methods for conservative and surgical treatment of upper limb lymphedema, both domestic and foreign authors. In particular, the ways of prevention of postmastectomy lymphedema of the upper limb are presented.
