Annotatsiya

The results of the forensic medical examination were studied in relation to 302 children-pedestrians who were injured of varying degrees in collisions with moving cars. At the same time, children-pedestrians aged 8-10 and 11-14 years old suffered more often (60%). In 90 cases, the affected children were diagnosed with combined craniocerebral trauma, among them 62 children had concussion and 28 children had cerebral contusions of various degrees with fractures of the bones of the vault and base of the skull. In 12 cases in children, in addition to fractures of the bones of the vault and base of the skull, fractures of the bones of the facial (zygomatic - 6, nasal bones - 4 and lower jaw - 2) were also observed. Injuries among children-pedestrians by severity were distributed: serious - 56, moderate - 37, light, resulting in a short-term health disorder - 53, minor, not resulting in a health disorder - 154 The main criteria for determining the severity of injuries were - danger to life and duration of the health disorder. Correlation and regression analysis to establish the specificity of damage to certain parts of the body for this type of car injury showed a high reliability of the degree of correlation (R) in relation to combined cranial brain injury and fractures of the long bones of the lower extremities (R-0.8 to 1.0). It has been established that the study of the features of the formation of damage to the structure of these parts of the body can provide grounds for the mechanism of injury.
