This paper presents the theoretical development of an intelligentoptical system for fruit sorting based on surface quality characteristics. The proposedsystem integrates machine vision technologies, rotational scanning, laser sensors, andartificial intelligence algorithms. RGB analysis and neural networks are applied fordefect detection and classification of fruits according to quality categories. Thesimplified system design reduces energy consumption, improves operational stability,and enables efficient real-time sorting. Theoretical analysis demonstrates that theproposed system is promising for implementation in modern automated agriculturalprocessing enterprises.
