Annotatsiya

This article studies the linguocultural characteristics of anthroponyms in English, French, Russian and Uzbek. The study, conducted using comparative and descriptive methods, sheds light on the cultural values, social norms, historical processes and national identity embodied in each language community through personal names. Based on literary texts, dictionaries and socio-cultural sources, the semantic, etymological and stylistic features of names are analyzed in a cultural context. The results show that anthroponyms are not only linguistic units, but also serve as an important source of information on the formation of worldview and identity, embodying the historical memory and cultural symbolism of the people. Through a comparative analysis of different languages, the article shows that anthroponyms represent different naming traditions, but there are also commonalities among them. The results obtained contribute significantly to research in the fields of linguistic anthropology, cultural linguistics, and onomastics, highlighting anthroponymy as an important tool in understanding the relationship between language and culture.
