This article discusses the seizure of local craftsmanship and industry by the Bolsheviks during the despotic regime, its achievements and problems, based on archival documents and reliable sources. The social consequences of traditional craftsmanship and artificial industrialization in Uzbekistan in 1917-1941 are also highlighted based on a historical approach.
