One of the signs of modern Uzbekistan is the invasion of the religious component into all spheres of our life, including science and education. The forms and consequences of this process are not always clear. What will the massive invasion of the so-called “religious component”, most often revived in a marginal form into education, science and ideology, lead to? What alternatives should the educational system and academic sciences provide in order to successfully compete with conservative religious ideology, or at least coexist with it without conflict? Here we can hardly claim to have exhaustive answers, presenting this article as a statement of the problem and hoping for discussion comments from colleagues.
