This article analyzes the activities of information resource centers at higher specialized educational institutions in Karakalpakstan during the years of independence. The role of information resource centers in the educational process and their significance in improving the quality of education through enriching library collections, digitization, and implementing modern information and communication technologies are highlighted. The effectiveness of information resource centers, existing challenges, and ways to address them are also discussed. The research findings will contribute to developing practical recommendations for enhancing information services in higher educational institutions.
