The article reveals aspects of the formation and development of human thinking in the process of historical development, that thinking is the result of human mental and labor activity. At the same time, the views of Eastern and Western philosophers on thinking, its evolutionary characteristics, and the progressive aspects of thinking in the conditions of a difficult period are analyzed in an innovative way.
