The article examines the biological and agrotechnical foundations of the technology for growing the Aliy Mangold variety for seed by the seedling method in the conditions of the Samarkand region. The influence of sowing dates on August 10 and 20 on the overwintering of plants, morphological characteristics, and the degree of preservation was assessed. According to the results, the survivability of plants grown without seedlings after wintering was 69-75%, and a satisfactory seed density was formed. The degree of variability in the main morphological characteristics of plants was average, with the highest variation recorded in the number and mass of leaves. It was established that the seedling-free method is a promising technology that allows reducing labor costs and mechanizing the seed production process.
