This article reveals the concepts of the scientific style of speech, indicates the scope of its application, and also provides general concepts about the substyles of scientific speech and their goals. In today's world of rapid development of technology and science, general scientific knowledge is becoming increasingly important. Therefore, studying the features of the scientific style is so important, especially for university teachers who not only continuously work to improve their knowledge, but also share their knowledge with their students. Basic knowledge about the scientific style of speech is also necessary for students themselves since studying at universities involves performing scientific project work and writing articles and term papers. In addition, examples of texts of the scientific speech substyle are given.
