Annotatsiya

The article deals with the issue of borrowing Uzbek language lexical units from Russian or through its mediation from other languages during the Soviet period. As the material for analysis, borrowings have been used that function in the speech of representatives of the older generation, which were identified as a result of decoding interviews, and speeches of people of the specified age, posted on various sites. Identified borrowings are classified into historicisms (units, which are the names of pre-existing objects, and phenomena) and archaisms (units that have gone out of active use as a result of replacement with more modern designations).
