Abstract: In the theory of thermoelasticity, the equilibrium of a solid body is considered as a thermodynamic system. Within this framework, a wide range of problems are investigated, including the generalized theory of heat transfer and the theory of generalized temperature stresses.The article addresses a two-dimensional coupled thermoelastic problem for isotropic materials. This problem has been studied with the aim of obtaining a numerical solution using the Libman-type iterative method. The mathematical model of the problem has been developed in detail, taking into account boundary conditions and transformed into finite difference schemes
