The article reflects the influence of media convergence processes on the activities of print publications, the adaptation of the press to these processes, competition with electronic publications, changes in the content of newspapers and magazines in the modern information environment, interactive and communicative relationships between newspapers and magazines and the audience. The communicative functions of genres in the conditions of media convergence were also studied and analyzed using the interview as an example.
